I wanted to post about it yesterday, but I needed 2 days to cool down.
Not in million years, I would expect that. I actually thought there was a mistake and I was awaiting email saying, ”We really apologies…”. but it didn’t come through which means.. I am bloody shortlisted as Best Newcomer in Amara Interior Awards!!! Panel of judges will pick the winner and announce it at the stunning Ham Yard Theatre and Dive Bar! Incredible place! When it comes to interiors and blogging..this is not a hobby, this is not a job. This is my whole life! I live and breath interiors. When I received the most creative invitation yesterday, I burst into tears! I honestly cried. Despite how cheesy it sound, but I cried. I cried, because I did it, and most of all because I realized how amazing I have friends and readers of my blog. I just realized, how many of you lovely people actually spared few minutes and typed those few words, your name and your email. Usually people can’t be asked but you did it, you care about me, and you like me and my blog! This is the best feeling ever! You are reading my mumblings yay!! Guys, you are amazing!
Hell yeah I am shortlised!!
I know. I am not everyone’s cup of tea but design has so many different styles and the beauty of blogging is, that we can express ourself through that. I am simple girl. I don’t have influential friends that help me slip into places, neither fat bank account. I don’t own house, I have ugly landlord furniture that I can’t remove, and a tiny apartment with dark magnolia walls. I work with what I got and try to turn them into positives. It’s my challenge to make it look right and I really enjoy that! I work full time and often stay late (if you designer you know what I am taking about) and I rush after work home to write, to edit, to do video or start DIY. I wouldn’t change my job in million years, neither stop blogging. I love what I am doing. The reason for this blog is to help you all and share my experience of renting, finding cheap solutions and saves you few pennies:)
I am incredible happy that you like it and you enjoy my blog! It shows that blogging about interiors doesn’t have to be only sharing designer pieces or showing your amazingly decorated home.
Amara Interior Awards is the most amazing interior blogging award. Nominated and shortlisted blogs are the best in UK and the world. It’s incredible, that I was nominated in first place, and now shortlisted! Yay! I am glad You, (Yes you amazing people) are enjoying and reading me! I want to Thank you with my whole little heart! Huge thank you to Amara as well for organising this incredible experience. I know, I have little chances with such a fantastic shortlised bloggers, but I am happy I have the best friends and bloggers readers ever! You guys rock! Thank you so much! I am sorry for such a long and boring statement….Oi! wake up!Did you even listen ;p (pardon… read?;p)
edit: Many of you asked when the awards will take place, sorry I missed to mention that,upsss:) The awards are going to be held on the 28th of October, so just next month in London’s beautiful Ham Yard Theater and Dive Bar, where panel of judges will pick the winner out of 5 shortlists in each category! I am currently browsing looking for the die for outfit, and trying to get fake rail card as train tickets are expensive haha
(joking right?) well just with the rail card part ;p
