The struggle is real when you move into a new apartment or home and you read your contract where it states, that you can’t drill into walls and hang pictures. Or perhaps, if you own your home but you don’t know how to properly drill or you’re scared of making way too many holes in your wall and can’t make it right, then here I come with an excellent solution for you. I will show you how to create an effortless gallery wall without drilling into walls.

Gallery Wall
Perhaps, you may remember that I have been a Command Brand ambassador since last year. Command offers many fantastic products that can transform your home, party or any event with great hanging solutions. Their products, mostly hooks and picture hanging strips have special adhesives which can be applied directly to your walls and surfaces like paint and tiles, and can be removed easily when you need a change. This is ideal when you want to hang pictures or create a gallery wall- whether it’s seasonal or you’ve just not applied it straight and need to correct it.
As you know I am renting my apartment, and it’s quite hard to create a gallery wall when my contract states ‘no hooks or nails in walls’. I have been living on Command products for years now. They offer a variety of products that come in many shapes and sizes to suit any frames from small to bigger and heavier. Their products also come in different materials, from chrome to plastic with a transparent finish or solid bold colours.
A couple of months ago, I went to Reading for a Command masterclass and I have worked closely with the brand to show you how easily you can create such an effect at home. I have a mixed selection of prints from Desenio with frames and without and wanted to show you few quick solutions.
1. Use your hanger: These days’ stores like Primark sell really cheap hangers for £3 a pack and you can sacrifice one and reuse on your wall. Not only will you save on expensive frames but also it adds that Pinterest style DIY touch, especially if you choose in that very popular rose gold finish. I used Command Clear Medium Hooks here.
2. Use Command Spring Clips: One of the products I really like is the Spring Clips, they are so easy to use. You will need to attach one of their adhesive strips to the back of the clip, and fix to the wall. Once attached, you can swap prints as often as you wish!
3. Command Picture Hanging Strips: These strips are also a very popular product from Command. The strips lock and relock so frames can be removed and repositioned – you attach the strip to the back of your frame, and fix straight on to the wall, meaning you can take off and put back as often as you wish as the strips stretch off cleanly without leaving holes, marks or sticky residue.
This is the beauty of Command products. They have so many solutions for anything you want to attach to your walls. Whether it is a seasonal decoration, large picture frames or smaller frames prints. You can see the effect below along with some behind the scenes shots.
Excuse Me0- IS ANYONE WORKING HERE ????!!! haha, this is one of my favourite shots! 🙂 I was very serious, and very focused- came across as moody- little- chicken ;p
