Spring effortless cleaning with these amazing products and Fantastic Services

As the April now completely kicked off, and we still dieting after Easter chocolate, miserably failing the New Year’s Resolutions, it’s time to actually take some actions. After all that Easter parties, friends and family around, most homes are full of chocolate and after Easter spending the entire weekend lounging on sofa and counting calories, while chewing on another piece of chocolate.. I wrote down a whole list of do’s and don’ts for Spring including getting healthy, exercise and be nicer, kinder and all the stuff I definitely won’t do, as I will stay all lazy and sarcastic as always. However, one thing I have promised myself this year is to get on top with cleaning my apartment. Hands down, I can go from super clean apartment to super mess within 1h with no much effort. I have the ability to turn the place into an absolute disgrace state and push things around or kick if they on my way until I ‘feel’ like to clean ( please note here, I ‘feel’ like doesn’t happen often).

You would imagine that blogger apartment is always super clean, but the reality is oh… just the opposite. The amount of boxes and interior kitsch I own is just the start of the mountains of what you can find in my flat! Shortly before Christmas, I have removed half of it. I have done a clearance of items I was holding on for months. Partially because of my anxiety and partially because it was part of someone I spend past 9 years and it was just hard to let go besides as much I wanted.

But it was a time to say goodbye to my past and start the New Year clean and without that heavy baggage. I packed everything and sent it away, packed stuff to sell and located in the bedroom in order to sell and let go all the rest. I have sparkly cleaned the apartment ready to start my Christmas.

I want to show you few products and services that helped me make home sparkling clean!

I start with my new The Vax AirTM Stretch Pet hoover with TurboTool that I adore. The powerful function of removal of cat fur is just what every cat owner needs! Believe me, for years, I couldn’t tackle the amount of cat hair at home and how, 30min and my home is cat fur free ( almost ;p). If you have pets at home, then you will know how difficult is to remove pets fur. having two cats including one longhaired and one shorthaired, I honestly don’t know which one is worse. Both loose so much fur, whether you pet them, whether they run around or sleep. ( Especially when they sleep on freshly folded cloth, or freshly hoovered floor- they have the ability to lose twice as normal of their fur!) It’s kind of crazy. over Vax hoover can deal with that super quick. It’s light and easy to carry with effortless cleaning. The hoover gets really quickly full, but that only shows how much dirt it captures and you have to empty it very often. I would say I need to do it every room but that only shows how much cat hair I actually have every week. adore this hoover and I would recommend to anyone who owns pets. the price is absolutely amazing to what Vax can do.

My absolutely cleaning favourites are method Johanna Basford limited edition products. I was previously sent samples to try, and I am buying it ever since! The method multi-surface spray comes with the absolutely beautiful designed battle ( I’m a sucker for pretty packages) but the hummingbird garden motif is just stunning. Who wants a big a yellow bottle of detergent next to marble chop board and pink microwave? Exactly. The spray also smells amazing and very flowery, leaving my home fresh and clean and I have also added the method washing liquid that is very powerful to clean grease pans yet leave everything smelling divine with sugar and coconut oil ingredient! Again, everyone who has cats knows how difficult is with cats to keep house smelling fresh as you never know when they going to leave a bomb in the litter 😉

I also upgraded home of Brabantia beautiful pastel pink pedal bin! Yes, have you ever seen anyone more excited about bin? Then you should have seen my face when the bins arrived! ( I have smaller version in my bathroom) and I just love them. I also have food bin under the sink and use this one for paper and recycled stuff now. The design is stunning, I adore the colour, but also its nicely shaped and looks very sleek and sophisticated in my kitchen. I haven’t seen any nicer bin anywhere! The self-closing top is just another great function plus Brabantia has own range of strong bin bags to go with their bins. Yes, I am old, I am excited about such a thing as bins, pans and pressure cookers. I want my home to be functional and stylish and this is exactly what Brabantia delivered.

Another thing to focus on is your home appliances and small decors to clean. When using a wall clock it always can get dusty and sometimes can be an effort to make it clean especially when is made with wood. For these types, I would recommend using just a microfibre sponge without any detergents. Same to small home appliances. Some metal parts can get rusty over years of loads of chemicals are used, so to sustain and prolong the life of your wall clock, planters or decor make sure you just use polishing microfibre cloth only.

One thing that was left to clean was my carpets, with multiple stains from red wine to everything else. In rescue came Fantastic Services cleaning company. On my day of booking, I had a knock on my door and Stoyan, a really nice and friendly cleaner came in with all is heavy equipment to battle my stained carpets. I showed Stoyan around and explained the stains and out of nowhere he pulled out specialist sprays and detergent to fight it. I grabbed the cats and let him do his magic while I cuddled the cats scared of the machine noises, as Maru was absolutely petrified.

It took around 1,5h to clean the entire flat including 2 rooms and living room. The carpet was dumped a bit afterwards so I left all stuff away for a day before I moved my furniture back in place. Once the carpets dried, I could straight away see the results and I was seriously amazed how all ten stains were removed! Also, Stoyan was fantastic in explaining everything and he did the really good job.

These days, you can rent a carpet cleaner yourself, but having done that in the past and comparing both experiences, I wouldn’t even think of renting it myself ever again. I remember how much I struggled. The machine is heavy to carry, with litters of water you need to replace every room but the worst part is to clean itself. The sucking suction is so powerful, I have struggled badly to actually being able to clean it as it was so hard. Anyone who tried themselves knows the pain. Having someone who knows how to do it properly, plus has the knowledge of using the right detergents without damage to your carpets it’s just ideal. Different carpet requires different detergent strength and so easy to discolour them or use heavy products that won’t do any good. I will definitely leave that now to a specialist.
