With Easter just right in the corner, warm spells and longer days, I can officially start the spring talking season! Apart from a spring clean our homes, we also need to think about the garden and outdoor areas. Last year, I talked about spring garden in our homes and this year, let’s chat about spring garden patio ideas and inspiration.

There’s really nothing that can bring a garden to life and help you make the most of your outdoor living spaces quite like a patio.  Even the smallest and simplest patio can transform largely any outdoor area into the kind of functional living space that’s nothing short of idyllic during the warmer months of the year. Of course, the fact that patios are known to have a direct and highly positive impact and can increase property values is a bonus.

Think of those quiet, perhaps unused corners of the garden where currently nothing exciting happens whatsoever. Now, picture that same corner of the garden with an elegant patio, a contingency of outdoor furniture and a world of wonderful summer evenings to enjoy. Some people will place it right next to the house, but if your garden is long, think of the dogs playing or children playing and pick a place rather hidden little further.

Don’t Be Afraid of Colour

As much as important is colour scheme indoor, that outdoor it’s a must too. You can go for one colour hues, bring some theme vibes or style and bit of your personality to your outdoor space via furniture, accessories as well as flooring. This is perfect way to finish up. Once your fire pit and flooring is chosen, get to select great furniture. Today, the selections are endless from great rattan garden furniture  to metal or plastic. the first two are more practical if you have a shed as you need to cover them during rainy days. All accessories must be waterproof and durable of course, but these days there is so many beautiful designs that you won’t be able to resist. Embrace Curves

The same also goes for the borders surrounding your patio and the shape of the patio itself. While it may be the most common approach taken by most, there is absolutely nothing to say that your patio must feature nothing but straight lines and angles. Quite to the contrary in fact, curved borders, round patios and creative shapes in general can be incredibly eye-catching. What’s more, there’s nothing to say they have to be any more difficult to design and create in the first place than any other type of patio. Think as well about our shed, whether go for a square or more funky one. No shed? No problem, dress the space with cool lighting and accessories.

Use DIY planters

Garden without plants, it’s not a garden isn’t? If you rent or the soil it’s not particularly great, think of using some cool planters to keep your flowers and plants in it. I’ve seen tonnes of inspirations but sometimes the simplicity is the key.
