Loads of people start their online adventures, for many different reasons, but most of them end up with similar outcomes- working with brands helping them advertise products or services. However, there is one thing that all social media influencers need to work with the brands and Pr’s: is media kit pack. It will help you earn extra income or create a full time career of your online adventures. I will explain in this post what is influencer media kit pack and why you need it?

what is social media kit pack and why you need it?
First thing first, let me explain what is influencer media kit pack ( also known as a press pack)
The media kit is a little bit like your CV for brands. It’s all your work put into one page ( sometimes two or 3) It’s making your, and PR you will be working with a far easier job. It’s will help you secure your work, PR will have quick insights into your stats, examples of your work or achievements but also can learn more about you and your social media approach as well as your aesthetics and whether you share the same ethos. Sometimes, influencers expect brands to get insights from their Instagram page or youtube content, but it’s difficult for a PR to gather all these pieces of information, as it would take time to analyze each post.
A media kit helps them to have a quick look and determine whether you are the right person, based on your stats, niche, or pricing. In a meant time read my post about social media influencer, whether you are indecisive whether you are a blogger, Instagrammer, or YouTuber. But also, your media kit is to establish your pricing for your contents. it can be difficult to talk money sometimes, and having your pricing on the same page as your achievements and stats can show PR’s what value you bring to the brand by creating content for them. After, all, earning extra from your social media accounts it’s just a cherry on the top.

Also, influencer media kit pack will show the brand that you are serious about your online influencing career as well as focused on your growth, achievements and that you are a mature content creator and not just selfie making face.
How to create a media kit ( Aesthetics and look)
Your media kit should reflect a similar aesthetic to your Instagram page, blog, or Youtube. It should also show how you have grown as influencers over the past months or years, brands you have previously worked with but also show your aesthetics, ethos and reflect your style. When a brand sees your social platform, it should easily relate to your media pack. Whether is the font you are using on your blog, similar style images, or the personal brand you created, it should all be easily recognizable.
You don’t need to be a Photoshop pro to create a media pack, the Internet is full of very useful media kit templates like these from Design Bundles. You can search for media kit in their search button and find the one that most resembles your aesthetics. mostly you can edit them with Canva or KeyNote. they will be super easy to edit, as you will just replace them with your text. Some will also allow you to edit your font, colours or re-arrange the aesthetics and graphics.

A good social media kit will contain the following:
Your Personal Bio
A good introduction to yourself, shouldn’t be too long, a couple of sentences would be enough. Write down who you are ( A blogger, Youtuber, or Instagrammer), what is your ethos and what do you do for example explain your niche.
Picture of yourself
Make sure you have a good quality picture of yourself. You can use the main picture from your blog or Instagram as it will be easier for pr to recognise you ( it can also be a reflection of the quality of photography you can provide)
Work goals and future perspectives
Whether your goal is to encourage your followers to sustainability living, promote a vegan life, or good body image, write it down, as is important for brands to know. It will be easier for a PR to determine whether you are the right person ad avoid conflict of interest.
What work you are available for
This should clearly state your niche but also what else you can offer within your services, whether is styling, press trips, press events, reviews, etc.
What type of content you can offer
What can you provide as your content? A blog post? A video, reel for Instagram? A youtube video? Clearly state what type of content you can create for brands.

Your stats
Here you should clearly state your stats, how many followers you have, what’s is your reach, monthly views, subscribers on each platform, if you run several include them.
Who is Your audience – demographics
PR will also be ingested in your demographics, like where is your audience from, what’s the average age, what’s the percentage of female or male followers, etc.

Previous partnerships, testimonials
If you have a good successful previous partnership, is good to ask for short testimonials which you can include as quotes on your media kit. but also include logos or brand names you previously worked with.
Pricing
Many influencers decide on pricing individually but is a good practice to include standard rates and tell your PR you are open to suggestions, budgets or can offer package pricing for multiple platforms or content. For example, if someone requests a blog post, social shares are included, but Instagram is for me separately and I charge fr it individually, etc.
Remember, a media kit is not only for full-time professional content creators, you can create media pack at any stage of your social media adventure. Brands will recognize you are growing and have clear goals and value you can add to promote their brands. Good Luck.
